Dr. Francisco Puchal Mas, ITPSA founder, was awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya with the “Creu de Sant Jordi”

“Creu de Sant Jordi” is one of the top institutional awards that Generalitat de Catalunya grants to. This award honours “natural or legal people that, on their merits, have rendered outstanding services to Catalonia defending its identity or, more generally, on civic and cultural level. “The ceremony took place at the Palau de la Generalitat on April 27th 2011.
Dr.Francisco Puchal Mas is PhD in Veterinary Medicine at the University Complutense of Madrid and PhD in Animal Nutrition at the University of Iowa (USA). He has also been appointed Livestock Production Professor at the Universities of León and Complutense of Madrid, and Director and Professor of Animal Science at the Agriculture Barcelona College.
In 1968, Dr.Francisco Puchal founded the company Industrial Técnica Pecuaria SA (ITPSA), which in 2003 was also awarded with the Catalan Agriculture in recognition of its leadership in the field of animal nutrition and its ability to internationalize its structure and its strong commitment to research in more than 40 years since its inception.
